CJ was a very popular dog with his pals at Dachshund Circus, and also has his own web site. He was owned and loved by Cathy Radtke, who trains guide dogs. (Kathy commissioned a portrait for another one of her dogs, Kramer, who also appears on this site). Nothing really needed to be changed for CJ's portrait.
